All Saints Church, Newtown

The condition of this old listed building, built by Sir Pryce Jones in 1890, was deteriorating and the church needed to carry out some major re-ordering work. This included the demolition of the existing extension and erection of a new single extension to accommodate accessible toilets and kitchen and provide shower facilities, improving the access to the main entrance, creating a designated space with suitable flooring, screens, lighting and heating, repairing and renewing the existing fabric of the church, and decorating appropriately.

This project took many months to complete, needed much fundraising and commitment by the members but the video below shows what has been achieved. According to one of the leading members, “it is now a truly wonderful building which will be a huge asset for use by the people of Newtown for many years to come”.
