Luke Ian Lunn

The opportunities afforded me with the support of the James Pantyfedwen Foundation are great and many. With their help, I was able to complete a Master’s degree in the field of Computer Science, where I worked on machine-learning applications for motion classification using smart accessories. From this, I managed to grow my interests and develop my skills in software development, artificial intelligence, public speaking, and scientific writing. Since then, I have gained a place on a PhD scholarship program where I now work on colourisation software for camera technologies intended to aid the European Space Agency's Mars rover program in the search for life on Mars. Specifically, I now enjoy working with the Aberystwyth University Panoramic Camera Emulator (AUPE) and the PanCam team here at the university and overseas in Europe.
