In 2021, after 3 great years studying Law with Welsh at Bangor University, I graduated with a first-class degree. The next step on my journey to become a solicitor was to complete the LPC, that is a Legal Practice Course, a course that must be passed to qualify as a solicitor. In order to learn as much valuable information as possible, I decided to complete my Masters’ course - Professional Legal Practice - at the same time. The only way I could do this was with the help of the James Pantyfedwen Foundation.

Thanks to the help of the James Pantyfedwen Foundation, I was able to focus completely on the course and the exams without worrying about any financial obstacles. Studying this course was very beneficial; I learned various invaluable skills in the legal field, including drafting legal documents, and interviewing skills with clients. After a busy but very important year, I completed and passed both courses.

Today, I am one step further on my journey to become a lawyer, and work as a legal paralegal in Swansea. I'm learning and developing new skills every day, and I'm so excited to continue learning more about the field. None of these opportunities would have been possible without the help of Pantyfedwen, and I am extremely grateful for the help I received. My plan now is to hopefully win a training contract within a solicitor’s office, where I will be able to qualify as a solicitor.

Thank you very much.
