Eisteddfodau

The James Pantyfedwen Foundation supports a number of various eisteddfodau each year, some being large national eisteddfodau and others being smaller local eisteddfodau. Specific grants are given to the National Eisteddfod of Wales, the Llangollen International Eisteddfod, the James Pantyfedwen Eisteddfodau and the Urdd Eisteddfod, but any local eisteddfod can apply for financial support, provided that the eisteddfod is registered as a charity or organised under the auspices of an organisation which is registered as a charity or is an exempt charity. The financial contribution made by the Foundation is based on a percentage of the prize money paid at the previous eisteddfod. No other costs are recognised.

The James Pantyfedwen Trustees meet three times a year to consider applications made by various eisteddfodau (March, July, November), and applications must be submitted at least a month before the date of a meeting.  The Trustees must have the opportunity to discuss the application before the date of the Eisteddfod.  Application forms must be accompanied by a copy of the full audited accounts and the official programme of the previous eisteddfod. Recognition of the Foundation’s support is required on the eisteddfod programme.

If you wish to submit an application for an EISTEDDFOD grant,  please read the guidelines carefully before completing an application form.  The guildelines and the application form can be downloaded below.
