Capel Jerusalem, Burry Port
The members of Capel Jerusalem, Burry Port, were keen to see some external and internal repair work done on the chapel. Cracks in the plaster needed to be repaired and re-plastered to prevent water coming through the wall. There was also some renovation work to be done around the bow windows to prevent a dangerous situation from developing. This would entail removing the ceiling in the kitchen and boiler room in order to gain access to the top of the windows, before finally completing the painting work.
According to one of the chapel’s deacons, "the renovation work in the vestry and the chapel has been completed - no cracks to be seen anywhere and there is a great improvement!" The building is used by the church and the community and hopefully this can now continue into the future.
