Bethel Community Church Newport
Bethel Community Church in Newport have been working hard over the last six years to rebuild their church after a catastrophic fire in 2018 which left only the four external walls standing. It has taken a great deal of hard work and faith from the church members, but September 2024 saw the Grand Opening of Bethel, a rebuild to modern standards which will provide a church building to serve the community of Newport.
The building now includes a flexible worship area, which can seat 400 and be used for conferences or community events, a creche, a coffee lounge, teaching rooms, a new reception area and a youth hall seating up to 100. The members are very grateful to the James Pantyfedwen Foundation for their support and for “helping us to achieve an amazing, restored building that will serve both worshippers and community for generations to come"
