Harry Brown

I received a grant from the James Pantyfedwen Foundation to undertake an MA in History at Bangor University in the 2021/22 academic year. My course led on from my BA in Modern and Contemporary History with more focus put on independent study, and learning how to recognise and apply the skills I had developed during my BA and MA in my future careers. I have been recommended by my tutors to pursue further study by going on to study towards my PhD. As a result of studying my MA I now have far greater academic tools and experience to go on to pursue further study in the future.

Since graduating I have started a role in an events management company as a Corporate Account Executive, providing me with opportunities to travel around the world managing events for international corporate clients. The extensive research skills I developed during my MA in History have proved vital to this role.

Thanks to the financial support provided by the James Pantyfedwen Foundation, I was able to fully commit and focus on my studies, resulting in me achieving a First-Class with Distinction in my MA. I am extremely thankful and privileged to have been a recipient of this grant and I am grateful for the support it provided me.
