The Rock Community Church, Gilfach Goch

The Rock Community Church bought an old school building and used their funds to repair and renovate the building. They applied for a grant to help with the cost of repairing the flat roof and the leaking windows, and organised many events to raise extra funds for the project. They describe themselves as “an outward thinking church who believe that, in order to make disciples, the community needs to feel a sense of belonging” and the church members work hard to show Christ’s love to others. The church runs a Trussell Trust Foodbank, an outreach programme for the homeless, a community coffee morning twice a week, a weekly Rock Solid children’s group and full weeks’ activities for children during school holidays.
