The support of the James Pantyfedwen Trust was essential to my postgraduate studies. After graduating with a degree in Welsh and Journalism in 2020, I was determined to gain more experiences in broadcasting in Wales, and it was a great privilege to be accepted onto the MA Broadcast Journalism course at Cardiff University.

The course offered many academic and practical experiences. Some of the highlights were the broadcast days where the teaching space was turned into a newsroom and the students had the responsibility of broadcasting a complete program. The experiences I gained through my studies led me to my current job with television company Rondo, working as part of the production team of Dechrau Canu Dechrau Canmol. I still enjoy learning new things everyday about creating programmes for Welsh audiences.

This would not have been possible without the support of the James Pantyfedwen Foundation, as funding a postgraduate course is challenging, especially during a time of pandemic. Visiting the website and reading about other individuals who have also benefited from this support clearly shows that Wales would be so much poorer without the generosity of the Foundation. Thank you very much indeed.
