I am immensely grateful for the generous support of the James Pantyfedwen Foundation without which I would not have been able to complete an MSt in Philosophical Theology at Keble College, Oxford University. I feel really privileged to be part of a legacy of brilliant Welsh students pursuing postgraduate degrees who have been similarly aided by the Foundation.

At undergraduate level I read Philosophy and Theology, and I particularly enjoyed studying the intersection of these two subjects. As such, being able to further pursue Philosophical Theology at master’s level was an incredibly exciting and enriching experience. During my MSt, I was able to take two papers, one on the Philosophy of Religion and one on the History of Philosophical Theology, as well as writing a 15,000-word thesis entitled “Love is (God’s) Love; On Divine Agape, Sacred Eros and Queer Philia”. I cannot express how challenging and fulfilling my time at Oxford has been, and I feel immensely lucky to have had the opportunity to pursue my passion, hone my independent research and make wonderful, life-long friends there.

Having completed my master’s degree, I am now excited to begin my career as a Civil Servant.

I cannot thank the James Pantyfedwen Foundation enough; none of this would have been possible without their support.
